The Triumph of Peace
The Triumph of Peace by William Lawes, english composer 1602 - 1645. The music is written for a
masque.
I play the piece in an arrangement for guitar quartet. I play all the parts myself.
Not the very best way to record classical music but I hope it works.
I made the recording to help some of my students who were playing the piece.
I took the photos in the cathedral in Orvieto, Italy. It is a fresco by Luca Signorelli.
He painted it a little bit more than one hundred years before the music was written, but in some way
I think that the painting and the music goes well together.
